Pan-Agri's Export Division had its beginning during 1997 in Nigeria, through Pan-Sana Nigeria Limited, our Amphibious Equipment Division with just a few orders, tools, welding equipment and engine parts. During 2002 we realized this division had a great deal of potential and an office was opened in Casselberry, Florida, USA to source equipment, fill orders, forward, ship and handle the exchange of foreign currencies.
Since most of our export sales are petroleum related, sales will be expanded in the oil/gas producing nations such as Venezuela, Russia, Libya, Mexico, Nigeria, China, Algeria, Brazil, Angola, Indonesia and others.
In order to accomplish the above we are seeking associates who have an adventurous spirit, enjoy foreign travel, are self motivated, desire a six figure income, knowledge of the oil and gas industry is a plus, along with being familiar with the language and customs of the country they would work.
To date Pan-Agri has established:
- 1) Export sales offices and staff in USA
- 2) Established vendors - OEM accounts, sources for new and used heavy duty equipment; marine equipment and vessels i.e. crewboats, supply boats, tankers, deck barges, lay barges; spare parts for new and obsolete equipment; and others.
- 3) Warehousing in New Orleans, LA to handle orders which must be containerized prior to shipment. For example it is cost effective for our clients to stockpile small orders until there is enough to fill a 40 or 20 foot oceangoing container.
- 4) Contracts with ship lines to handle ocean freight and trucking companies to handle rigging and inland freight.
- 5) Forwarding agents to handle all shipping documentation.
- 6) Working relationship with inspectors for international shipments who must inspect and approve goods prior to shipment.
- 7) Credit facilitate with State of Florida Export Development Corp.
- 8) Established credit with major vendors.
In short we have established all the infrastructures to accommodate a growing, successful export company.
Pan-Agri International Inc. was incorporated to handle agriculture projects (feed the world) in developing nations, however in most of the developing nations, the peasants (farmers) are not encourage to produce more food as the buyers (middlemen) set break even or losing prices at harvest time, no storage facilities leaves surpluses to go to waste, no government subsidies or price support which are widely used in developed countries to support a guaranteed food supply.
Considering the afore mentioned; we set our sights on the oil/gas companies. Major oil companies in the USA and EC nations dominate the oil/gas operations throughout the world and are insulated and set the rules in most of the developing countries that have oil/gas reserves.
Further most of these oil producing developing nations are completely dependent upon the oil companies to produce forex which end up in private pockets. Our choice was very simple, put agriculture on the back burner and join the oil/gas crowd. During 1995 we began our first oil contract, three large oil storage tanks which led to other engineering and installation projects and later the manufacture and assembly of amphibious excavators for pipeline contractors.
Export sales in progress:
- 1) Three 15 megawatt gas powered electrical plants - contract value $24,000,000
- 2) Deck barge 300' x 75' - contract value $1,075,000
- 3) Two tug boats 3,000 HP class - contract value $2,000,000
- 4) 250 ton crawler crane - contract value $450,000
- 5) Crew quarters for deck barge - contract value $3,000,000
- 6) Others - approximate value $750,000
The above are possibilities; however items 2, 3, 4 and 6 are 95% sure as cash deposits have been received on these items. Item 3 is a government project which I am told we have an inside track.
